Jonathan (J. J.) Gass is a London-based, United States-trained lawyer with thirty years of experience in dispute resolution. An international arbitration specialist, he has appeared in more than seventy arbitrations as arbitrator, advocate, or tribunal secretary.

Among those are more than twenty cases under international treaties, the majority being investor-state disputes under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). 

As a sole practitioner, J. J. offers significant cost efficiencies and a lack of the conflicts of interest that can present difficulties in appointing lawyers at larger firms as arbitrator. In the counsel role, J. J. generally collaborates with other legal teams, often augmenting teams at boutique firms with his experience in applying various legal regimes and arbitrating in different legal seats.
